Terms of Service

By accessing or using Where To Lunch (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Where To Lunch is a web application that helps Melbourne CBD professionals discover curated lunch spots, coordinate group lunches, and receive AI-powered restaurant recommendations. Content is aggregated from third-party sources including Broadsheet, Timeout, and Concrete Playground.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. Accounts are created via Google OAuth or LinkedIn OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its related systems.
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service without our prior written consent.
• Transmit any content that is harmful, defamatory, or infringes any third-party rights.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software — are owned by or licensed to Where To Lunch and are protected by Australian and international intellectual property laws.

Third-party restaurant content aggregated from Broadsheet, Timeout, and Concrete Playground remains the property of those respective publishers and is used under applicable fair use / fair dealing provisions or with permission.

The Service uses AI models to generate restaurant recommendations and summaries. These are provided for informational purposes only. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content. Always verify opening hours, pricing, and availability directly with the venue.

The Service integrates with third-party platforms including Google Maps and LinkedIn. Your use of those features is also governed by those platforms' respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of any third-party service.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Where To Lunch shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed AUD $100.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases. Sections 5, 8, 9, and 12 survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia.
